Jared, the only thing about the rabbit is that they will burrow under the fence and get out in time. The best way to protect them from fox or coyotes is to lock them into the coup at night.
Suzanne, she's a beauty. I got my Blue Laced Reds from a private breeder on line. Payed $10. each for 25 straight run, got 20 roosters, and 5 hens! Was a real rip off, but they are pretty. I'm not sure if you know about the blue genetics in chickens, but when you cross two blues, you don't always get blue chickens. Some will be blue, some black, and some will be mostly white, called splash as they have some specks of black in them. The Same goes for the blue lacing in the BLR.
I went out and took some pictures of them and some others too.
BLR hen on nest.
I only have 2 hens with the blue lacing, and they were both on the nests, so I'll have to take a better picture later.
BLR Rooster.
BLR hen showing the splash lacing.
I kind of like these as much as the blue ones.
Here's a close up of the BLR with the black lacing.
Here's and Easter Egger rooster showing a splash pattern.
Here's a few others in a group. Different breeds.
