Cold air settles, so it may be in your best interest to cover the deck floor with some kind of covering, even if it's only a painter's drop cloth to give it some insulation.

One relatively inexpensive way to get excellent insulation is drywall, a.k.a. gypsum board. HD had 2'x2' squares of fairly thick drywall for $5-6. I think that if you buy a 4'x8' panel, it's much cheaper per square foot.

And it is great insulation. I think you want to keep it dry, however.

I use foam insulation boards around the bottom edge of the patio hoop to keep the chill out. One board cut into three pieces lengthwise is about all I need. I bet that would work as the floor of your gh. One sheet was a little over $9. at HD. I store it and use it over and over. I have a two half sheets that I use on the north side of the hoop where the wind comes whipping across our hill. Not the prettiest gh, but it gets the job done.

Thanks for the flooring ideas. Will use the foil foam boards for the fence sides and against the wall where the sun comes in so that it helps reflect. I am thinking of using bath board. It is just pressed board but comes in 4 x 8 ft sheets for about $5 the last time I looked. Looks like tile so I can slide my heavy pots across it. Maybe a sheet or two of dry wall underneath to insulate. Now...to get them home in my car???

I wasn't so lucky last night. The temp greenhouse "seam" didn't survive this round of bad storms. We got nearly 4" in 24 hours and it's still coming. That's OK. There are not plants inside yet. It's been near 80ยบ, even in the rain. These storms are a good test for my new wee structure. I might even do it all over turning the tarp lengthwise eliminating the seam as it seems to be it's weakest link, the area I worry most about. It's quite a mess out there with debris blown all over the place. Looks like I have a lot to do outside once the sun comes out.

Bummer! Is it possible to sew the two pieces together?

To keep ours from lifting in the wind, we used batten tape and fastened it to the ground with tent stakes. You could screw the batten tape into the fence or the PVC pipe.

Austin was hit hard by that same storm about 11PM last night. We had lots of drizzle during the day, but it rained steadily nearly all night. They called it training. Storms kept coming in a line, just like last week. Water rescues and road closures, all night. (And VP Biden's security entourage kept us all captives for the afternoon, blocking the roads around Westlake for his visit).

We had a few penetration leaks in the attic around the roof vents during last week's storm. We were supposed to have roofers coming next week to fix them. The guys, instead, showed up at the crack of dawn yesterday and were on the roof working when we walked outside to see what was making so much noise. They didn't even ring the doorbell.
They said they wanted to get the vents fixed before the storm hit. Wow! They worked in the drizzle all morning. We were amazed and very grateful.

I was going to Velcro on the plastic at the seams for a doorway. But this looks promising and probably not much more! Stick it on, unzip it and cut the plastic!

And then look at this awesome idea!!! Great for hoop houses and other PVC structures!
