I got one of those from Deb, too. They are all potted up, until DH finishes my raised bed. Maybe he'll have that done by the time I get back from visiting family in Charleston. High hopes. again, Debra. You've really made my day.
Must be good to have them arriving safe and sound, Lilli. It's such a long trip for an iris to travel.
Very generous of them to send so recent and beautiful bonuses.
Robin, it's so sad! I was looking through their catalogue (now that it is safe! ) and there are just so many that I really, really want. Some are sold by other vendors, but I think many will just become unavailable, unless you know someone you can trade with of course.
Of course I talk to myself; sometimes I need expert advice!
My Tempo Two order (53 rhizomes in all) finally arrived today - delayed first by a customs' inspection (no idea why since technically it was an EU import) and then by a new postman, who claimed twice that he could not find our house... So the poor rhizomes are looking very dry - much more so than the TT consignment I received last year - but they're soaking overnight and I'm sure they will revive and flourish.
Thanks, Bonnie, Celia - my DH admitted that (despite my helpful suggestions ) he wrote 'plants' on the customs declaration... so I fear I may not see the RRs, even though they were accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate.
