Lovely avatar and a great beautiful iris. Mine is increasing well and the blooms are always lovely.

I need more ruffled ones!
This is my most ruffled and it doesn't always get that ruffled though.

I bought 'Impressionist' after seeing its tailored bloom at Schreiner's display gardens. It bloomed in my yard looking like this, so a word of warning. Conditions like sun, soil, & moisture do effect size & ruffling of the blossoms. Others on the forum have said this one can be a shy bloomer. I love iris, but if any don't perform well they will get the boot probably.

For ruffled iris in my garden Ghio is the most reliable with his lovely looped falls and ruffled standards.

My favourite white is Vanilla Frappe. I've never seen it, but it looks beautiful in database photo.

Niki, does your Decadence increase very well? It is one of my slowest for some reason. I guess because it is a favorite!

My Decadence does not increase well either. It has only bloomed twice since I have had it. It is gorgeous when it does though!

If anyone has extra of Decadence please consider me for trading plants. I am also looking for Daring Deception! Or maybe Tom will have them to purchase.

This would just be my second bloom season for most of my named iris, but I will take notes for future reference. I don't know yet. Ghio's iris seem the most ruffled of all. Slowly SDB's are getting ruffled varieties. Robin, I wonder if 'Vanilla Frappe' smells like its name.

I am the wrong person to ask. Do irises smell different to each other?

I have a few that smell like grape soda.

Yes Robin, they have a variety of 'smells' - and some have none!

Soul Mate is one of my favorite ruffled iris.

Open Sea is another one I like.

This is one by my old camera and it looks more blue then it should.

I like Oxford Countess a lot too.

Arrivederci is awesome and ruffly.
