I have a Hebe (Veronica 'Coed') planted next to my Rambling Rose (Rosa 'Veilchenblau'), I had hoped they would bloom together and would match! Thumbs up

Exciting news!!! My Double Delight has a sprout on it!!! Yeah!!! I really thought it was dead and the hubby and I were planning on getting a new one next year. But really happy that it's okay. Man, it took a while for this guy to establish it self.

Beth ...

You purchased an inexpensive plant just to try growing roses. I promise you, it is much, much easier if you start with a healthy plant ... Smiling
I'd rather weed than dust ... the weeds stay gone longer.

Beth how exciting for you. Um is your double delight an own root rose or a grafted rose? I only ask because I thought you mentioned the whole top part died down to the ground. If it is an own root rose thats all it can be is a double delight. But if it was a grafted rose, it may come back as a Dr. Huey. I will sure keep my fingers crossed for your rose, that it is still a double delight.

Thanks Lilli, added. I'll get @Zuzu to fill out the details, she's the best at it!
Hopefully we'll get a photo added eventually.

@agoo it was a body bag rose and from what others was saying by the picture it looks to be grafted. The main branches looked fine. A little black on the tips but was taking longer than the sunsprite which I planted at the same time to established.

This was one of my very first roses. It was a mothers day gift from my middle son. I try very hard to keep it going because of that, plus I do like the rose. An oldie but a goodie, it's Iceberg. Sorry the picture quality is so bad. Sighing!

Coleen ~ Try taking your picture when the sun is not directly on it. That might help.

@Agoo You can also put a blanket or something above it. Maybe you can tie it up to a hedge or something if that is close to it. That way you can cover the plant from receiving to much sun for the foto.
