Thanks Janice. He did walk over areas where I have lilies. None are up yet but I doubt they liked having their heads pressed.

I agree July....in March.

I'm indoors taking a break so that my skin doesn't fry, it gets enough sun as it is.

In the 60s as we are 5 miles from the ocean. Just did some weeding in the iris beds this afternoon & my shoulder doesn't like it. However I think there is only one plant lost in the area.

Beautiful area. I have bad knees and walking on slopes is torture. Now that my helper is here I can see other things for him to do that I might have tried to tackle. He will dig out a brug stump. Guess it will be a nice place for iris.

I should cut the grass....bleh....at least in the pathways between the beds. Hilarious!

I'm pretty sure I've never before cut grass here in March. Blinking

I had cut a bunch of daffs to bring inside since it's been so hot here the past few days, but this morning the ones that are still in the gardens look okay. Smiling

One of my favorites this year...

Fire pit is done. The stone gravel is in and done. Looked too white to me yesterday but now with the rain it is a whole lot better than it looked with the stark white yesterday. Went to take a picture and the camera kept shutting itself off saying battery exhausted. Maybe if there is a break in the rain I can get a picture of it today............

Bad news for me last night. My brother who had a cancer tumor removed from his colon last year (Jan. 2011) has now found he has bladder cancer.. Not curable but controllable with chemo the rest of his life. He will be 50 in June. Doc told him they can control it with chemo, but he would be required to go with it the rest of his life. If he didn't want to go that route they would keep him as comfortable and as pain-free as they can until he goes. I cried for hours last night, and woke up with tears this morning. We wait now to hear what he has decided to do.
