I'm a newbie here--- is there a way to post a pic from my photobucket? It seems to only let me from my computer.

Very nice garden Tamara, Lovey dubby hope we don't get any surprises. I still have not had a winter, got down into twenties on three occasions but back up in sixties the next day. I am surprised I am not sick. It will be in seventies all this week. Blinking

I caved in last year an hire a guy to clean the gardens twice a year. He is due here today to finish cleaning and do some edging. I hated to admit I needed help but sometimes the obvious is in front of me.
I have not regretted it.

The spring clean-up and mulching is a killer. I'm still considering hiring someone to mulch, but don't have anyone in mind. Hauling around that heavy mulch is a killer.

That's right Jo Ann, I would like to find someone cheep to help me out a little. I haven't had much help with raking and edging since my Husband broke his shoulder. A nice yard just makes you feel good, the sense of accomplishment and rewards you for years to come. Thumbs up

I will say my guy gets a lot done in 5 hours. Those jobs would take me 5 days and thats not an exageration.
I figure I have worked so hard for 5 years getting the beds desighned and planted I just cant let it go because I'm not strong enough or have not enough stamina to maintain whats there.
The garden I showed is one of three the same size. DD takes care of her own.
This helper can identify perennials but he is just a laborer. I had him plant clems for me and I dont think he really knew what he was doing in spite of the fact he has a garden of his own.

The neighbor who recomended him said he had been her gardener for years. I dont know how old he is but he had gardened with his father when he was a little boy.
He charges $20.00 per hour but can clean all the gardens in a day. When he finishes today I will see how far he got and maybe have him come back tomorrow to do edging.

I dont mind shareing what I spend for help. The convenience of this man comming on short notice is also a facter in why I pay him what I do.
Huggergirl. This house has slopes on all sides. Helper will clear out an area that drops off so sharp I lost me balance and rolled down the hill. Its never been cleaned because the neighbor and I couldnt decide whose property it is. I saw a Google map and noticed I was on the line between the white pines and the spruces.

just took these. They show the slopeing yard as well as the area to be cleaned. I will pix the same tree area after helper finishes.

Jo Ann, what a lovely property!

I think it's a great idea to have someone do the garden cleanup tasks!!

Tried having DH do a bit of weeding last weekend and oh, my! a couple of new daylilies were stepped on Sad , so ......

WOW, Cinda, 84!

It feels like summer here, too, and I am dreading the continuation of drought this year again....
