PPal - No idea, don't have Blue Moon. To me, they look totally different, but I've never seen a Blue Moon in person, so that would make a big difference. Pictures can be totally deceiving.

Zuzu, I just love the cats sleeping in the box pictures. ALL of Them! Too cute for words. Big Grin Betty, loved your Kitty too.

All the nurseries around here are either closed till spring if they are really small or just full of Christmas trees and decorations.

Rita, I thought you had gone into hibernation! Hilarious! Glad you're back.

Toni, Hortico does have a few roses it insists on associating with others, and I always wonder which one they really have. My Blue Moon looks bluer to me than Blue Girl. Other than that, they're very much alike, which means they both suffer from black spot and are vulnerable to all sorts of pests.

I love the picture of Loki!

Toni, Hortico doesn't have Blue Girl available right now, but when it does, it lists it as Cologne Carnival.

I do hibernate in the winter ha-ha Hilarious! I just don't like to go outside if I don't have to in the cold weather. But it is still plenty warm here which is fine by me. Winter can just stay away. I just didn't have much to add I guess plus I didn't even notice this December chat thread had been started already until today. Whistling Mostly I chat away on the chat thread on the daylily forum. Daylily forum is my main go to forum all the time.

Hey, my roses are still blooming now because as I said it is warm here. Raining today but balmy. Been busy like many of us are this time of year. Seem to have more errands to do between Thanksgiving and Christmas than normal. Have to get stuff, you know, for the Holidays. Haven't bought any new roses this entire year of 2011 so nothing to add about new roses. Can't get any new ones next year either until I dig and toss something and replace it with something else. Don't have anything I want to dig and toss so I guess I will not be buying. Years ago I had to dig and toss my WILLIAM SHAKESPERE 200 due to it being virused and still have it on my wish list to replace. Otherwise no roses that I can think of that are on my must have list.

Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing I have no room to buy new roses but last night I did buy a new pot on QVC ha-ha Hilarious! Hilarious! Don't really watch QVC but I was channel surfing and saw it and it was perfect. One of those taller and skinnier kinds that fit just on the burner without spilling over. It has a spicket and a built in drainer so you can just cook and drain pasta. Plus a wire basket so yoy can stream or boil eggs or corn or such. Lots of great uses. Can't wait for my new pot. I got it in red because that was the nicest color to me.

Not that cold here. Some of my roses are still blooming even though it is December and usually they are done by now. No pictures lately though. I am done with my gardening till next spring.

Hurray! Hurray! for Gloria! Smiling It's bonechilling here. Well, not today, it's warming up to the mid 40s & I'm running around w/o a jacket. But earlier this week we had some REALLY cold days.. way too early in the season for this kinda cold (high for the day was like 12degs). All my roses are buried in snow, which is good 'cuz snow acts as a wonderful insulator to extreme cold, too, so they won't be hurt as bad by the extreme temps. But now it's slowly melting away and they're not predicting any more snow for at least a week (possibly on the 18th). Might have a white christmas, don't know yet. All I have for inside plants are my African violets & 1 orchid (kinda screwed up on that one). My AVs are half in bloom, half not (3 of 7), but the orchid probably won't bloom (if it survives) until around May. Boring plants.

One thing I have found is that when the roses do bloom at this time of the year the blooms last a really long time. The colder weather makes them just stay and stay.

I was just outside earlier today looking at some of those blooms. They really do look pretty. Of course this time of year it is not lots and lots of blooms like it is in the summer but hey, what can one expect in December, right? There is a big bloom of one of my HTs just outside my window that I can see all day long and that looks like it is staying for a long while.
