Jack I am absolutely loving those mini lilies and wondering if I should have planted mine in containers instead of the ground! And that Peruvian Daffodil is awesome! Cute pineapple nodding

Crikey @jmorth - you're way ahead of us over there! Hymenocallis/Ismene barely emerging here and Eucomis are at various stages but nowhere near blooming.

These little trittilea are in their 3rd year in the garden and are multiplying nicely.

Great summer display Larry!

Ginny, your lilies are really showing off! Several LA hybrids and Asiatics are blooming here now too, and a couple of Regale album just opened and
are wafting that lovely fragrance Lovey dubby

longk, your Roscoea scillifolia is fascinating, so dark and unusual! I agree about amaryllis flowering outdoors, they're always sturdier and have an overall healthier appearance without those long stems that want to flop. Although I do have some that insist on flowering in late winter (I'll typically happen to notice a bud arising from the dry pot), which do at least provide some blooms when I'm desperate to see some color. The same plants will often flower again while outside for the summer.

My amaryllis are all outside now too. They really do grow well with the natural sunshine and heat!

When planted outside do you leave bulb in pot, then sink the pot?

I guess the conversation's moved here. And I suppose that this one bloomed in the spring...but it's still doing interesting things:

I just set my amaryllis pots outside among other potted plants. I tried one in the ground in a protected spot a few years ago as an experiment. It returned for 2 or 3 years without blooming, then stopped showing up. I love those big clumps growing in gardens, but I think it may be a pipe dream here.

Well, I have no hope for any fritillaria this summer as they all just plain died back with no blooms. Hope for some next year. What is left of the lilies that the deer and rabbits didn't decapitate are starting to bloom though Hurray!
