David - basically Thai-style stir fried noodles with lots of yummy flavors with several different protein variations. And it was delicious. I've tried making it at home but not quite as good as our local Thai restaurant.
Another gloomy day here and I need to get outdoors to patrol my "temporary" deer fence for minor repairs. Spotted a deer nosing at the netting this morning. Better to make those fixes now rather than in January.

Thanks. Love Thai food - among others, :nodding:

When I was in Amsterdam they have a rather large Indonesian population and my wife, me and my parents enjoyed a huge "Rice Table" - Rijsttafel. We had maybe 40 or so disghes and it was awesome. Some VERY hot. Including a peanut butter based desert. nodding That one got my Father. He was looking for something to cool off his mouth and tried that. Hahahahha

Some Thai dishes can be smokin'. Lots of curries. Those I stay away from. And I'm not fond of cilantro so I try to pick that off. I do hear that coconut soup is "the bomb".

We were grocery shopping today, and saw some Red (and green) Thai chilis - very spicy!! We've used them before, and like them very much. Drooling

I do avoid most chilis as I can't remember which is which and I don't care for "hot".
Light rain here all night and into this morning. Not going to complain if predictions of a dryer winter come to pass. A little windier today.

The weather has so screwed up so many things. I have a beautiful pink rose that fully opened Saturday. And Heather blooming. And now we go back to 20s. All told we got ~ 3 - 4 inches of rain. Flood warnings for Missouri river thru Saturday.

We are flooded in the yard from all the rain and snow is falling!! The weather is making the internet flaky, but it's working for the moment.

Thanks for posting that link. Had never heard of it before. Looks like we got maybe 3/4" through today (so far). I do see patches of blue sky to the west so that would be a nice break.

Never heard of that site, Thanks. We only got a bit over 2 " or so. We are not that far apart. But you will be sending it down the MO river my way. Flood levels thru Sat.

Someone we know participates in it, so that's where we heard of it. I was trying to listen to the NOAA forecast this morning, but all I heard was flood warnings.

Much perhaps most of this crazy weather is caused by the El Nino. This year's is likely the worst ever and is affecting such a large area of the world because it is so large and so intense. Due to where they start and the USA's location on the planet, the US is more affected than most countries.

Unlike a thermometer to measure temperature, there is no single El Nino meter. Big Grin

LOL Sally. I was getting ready to post on here for what I believe is the first time for me.

We are getting itty-bitty teeny tiny snowflakes that won't stick because it's been so warm up until the last two days. With a high of 35 today, I'm very concerned that my serviceberry tree which has buds all over it. We are supposed to be back in the low 60s Saturday. Kansas is supposed to get more than normal precipitation due to El Niño.
