I'll start. My real name is Kay, when I was an infant and toddler my family called me Kay Baby. Kabby was my attempt at saying Kay Baby. Some family still call me that and I use it for my grandkids and my online presence.

I had so many houseplants and was always involved in watering, and caring for them. My husband started telling people I was the plant manager in the family. It just stuck.

I love your story, Kabby. Cute! I was KK when I was a toddler.

My initials are KQ and I was a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) by profession. I was always signing off on drug orders and lab orders and the like as kqcrna. I could give a nurse a verbal order but had to sign it later after I was out of surgery.

I'm Bubbles because I didn't want to be Granny or Gramma. Have an only grandson and he and all his friends know me as Bubbles. I'm the fun one, not an exotic dancer. Whistling

Liz because it's my name. DTM means Distinguished Toastmaster. Lots of work to get that designation!

Easy. I went to college in Austin, Texas in the '60s. Thus my user name (admittedly a pain to type) is tx_flower_child. Feel free to refer to me as tfc or even tx. But if you're too young or too old to get the reference, well, um, er, I don't know what to say other than I had a heckuva good time. :D

I have only been on one other gardening forum before this and used ShadyGreenThumb there. I forgot my password over there, actually I've forgotten the site, name, too. But I remembered my screen name. I am both cursed and lucky to live in a very shady yard in Zone9a. And I CAN grow stuff there! Thumbs up Did you know that some things that require full sun can be grown in the shade? Things like EE's, Variegated Shell Ginger, some ferns that require sun etc., will grow albeit verrrry slowly. And sometimes that is a blessing.

Well, mine has nothing to do with gardening (as you might have guessed Rolling my eyes. ). I'm a retired Clinical Medical Librarian but after I retired from that profession, I went back to graduate school to become an Archivist (totally different from being any kind of Librarian). I love history and especially family history. So no "seed cataloging" for me. Hence, Archivesgirl. I admit, not as glamorous as you, Bubbles I tip my hat to you. . Gayle

@Bubbles I am a post partum nurse and I ask my pt's preferred name and also I ask the significant others name. This one grandmother says and I am Bubby. I said Bubby as in Babushka? We have cell phones that the pt's call us on instead of the call bell, unfortunately the cells don't have caller ID. So I'm answering the phone Hi Bubby and my co workers are giving me the eye. 😳

@Kabby That's pretty funny! Bet you were the talk of the break room!

@lovemyhouse I remember reading of your boss taking you to see that house. I just tried to tell DH what I remembered about it and got all teary-eyed. Was a good, happy story.
