TOOPHER x CASPER'S REVENGE - FFO this year -- Finally, at last, my favorite seedling! She didn't bloom for me last year and I was afraid she had missed again this year, but at last here she is.
And I put this pollen on my ROARING LIONS bloom -- sure hope it takes!
Yay or nay? 1st year blooming so I am hoping colors will improve. Large flower on a very strong, tall sturdy plant with scapes almost an inch in diameter.
Any thoughts what I could cross it with? Thanks for the input
I like it a lot. I like the lighter ruffled edge and the thin eyezone line and yellow throat. I will let others with experience suggest a potential cross
Sandi-- like that seedling a lot! Seems quite unique to me. Splitting hairs but ideally IMO it would have either a bit more color or a bit less-- but could be hard to cross it anything in a way that maintains all those nice features it has. Definitely see if more maturity changes anything...
Forgot to post an update on my 4" tall first-year seedling that shocked me by brazenly putting up a scape.
It did manage to produce 2 blooms! Was able to snap a photo at the end of the day of the first bloom:
Was out of town and missed the second. Not exactly a thrilling bloom but I have to give this guy an "A" for effort! We'll see how much it changes in year 2...
Wow, the daylilies growing just get better and better!!
Love your second one, Becky! I keep meaning to add Lily Munster but haven't done it yet...she sure produces some great kids!
I've posted these two before, but it's been kind of slow and I figure we should keep bumping this thread up!
These two are flagged to go to my "hopeful futures" bed. Every time I see these I am amazed at how lucky I am to have them in my garden. Both are from seeds purchased in 2016 on the Lily Auction from users Emery (Reggie Morgan) and cottosnag (Cheryl Otto).
Check out the ruler...the bloom on the right is huge!

And a few others that I am reviewing stats for:
And a few more of RR X RFK--I usually pick it from the garden and bring it inside to enjoy for the day. I carried it around the garden and had a photo shoot
