Hey, you could put a kid's bouncy ball on top of the tomato cage before draping a sheet over it for a Halloween ghost, and paint a scary face on it.

There were lots of different colors the garden center carried (yellow, green, purple and orange, besides red). Can't remember if there were other colors, but as soon as I saw the red, I got one because of Hummingbirds.

Look around this year (think I got mine in 2010, at least) you'll probably find them.

I just thought of the stacking the boxy tom. cages this year for Hummers and for the other type, I've been doing that for years. Didn't read about doing them anywhere, I just thought about it on my own for both.

We don't have a Menards where I live in KY, but think there are some across the OH River in Cincinnati. I haven't been to any before.

Love all the colors that's offered, but had to get a red one for Hummers!

I know it wasn't 'cheap' for a tom. cage when I bought it.

Check the garden centers this coming Spring. I'm sure you'll see them. Not just red, but other colors (all bright) that have a hard plastic coating on them.

Burpee sells the boxy tom. cages in red and green, if you want that type, by the way.

I like the hard plastic coating thing. Lasts longer. Wonder why they decided to start making them in all kinds of colors?
