I'm not sure who's having more fun, here - Sprite, or John?

Really cute! Will she still think she's a lap dog a year, and 70lbs, from now?

Good question. Our last husky re-became a lap dog in his old age.

Meanwhile, this one makes herself comfortable wherever she pleases.

What a little doll! And I particularly like that last "crash time" photo -- like she crashed in mid-stride! Love those piercing, clear blue eyes too!

Today we worked on the word "No!" She doesn't really like that word. In fact, I don't think she even understands it!

Aw, thanks Zuzu. He cleans up pretty good.

Now that our little speed demon has finally fallen asleep, the rest of the crew can relax a bit. They've been keeping their distance.

OMG, how ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want a husky so badly, but I'm not home enough to give them the time/attention they need. They're way too hyper for me in my stage of life right now. But who could deny that FACE!! Really reminds me of the meme "Insanity Puppy", though..

Most winters, my dogs don't get as much exercise as they should. It's been so warm the past month that we've gone outside and played soccer with them every day! It's been good for me--no SAD this year. Yay! We let the geese stay on the pond this winter and discovered how relaxing it is to just watch them sail around. I may need to replant grass in the spring. My dogs do keep them out of the upper yard, though. Our bog has 25-50 mallard ducks most of the time and they are beautiful. This year, Snowy Owls migrated to Kansas, and we've seen a few of those. I imagine the bald eagle we see occasionally will eat them. The state biologists saw they are young owls, near starvation and exhausted, not likely to make it back to the Arctic. Too bad, they are quite the sight.
Forecast is for temps in upper 60s all week. I'll have to check for daffodils and crocus.

Cindi - funny about what you say about your dogs not getting as much exercise. My guys get about 4 times the exercise in the winter versus the summer.. too hot to take them to the dogpark when it's like 95degs out there! But snow & 20degs? We're at the dogpark for about an hour at least 3 times a week.

I haven't been lucky enough to see one of those gorgeous owls. I see bald eagles regularly on the way to the dogpark, and once a golden eagle, but I'd *LOVE LOVE LOVE* to see a snowy owl! I've never seen one, not even when I lived in NY. Heard that these owls are basically starving to death & that's why they're coming so far south. They're welcome here.. we have TONS of bunnies & prairie dogs.

Toni, my dogs are big swimmers, so they exercise on their own when the pond isn't frozen. Seems like there's more rabbits to chase in summer, too. They are so good about honoring the property line that I just let them out for the day and they're happy.

Hi Shannon, welcome to ATP! Your tree rose is quite beautiful, as is Tropicana. But I have to say, Liam & Seamus are absolutely beautiful! I just love collies (especially blue merles). I had two until a few years ago!

I think that is one of the greatest things about Siberian Huskeys. They have a wide variety of facial markings from pup to pup and that makes them so interesting. Did you actually go see the entire litter and pick out this pup? You sure picked a beauty no matter how she was chozen. Thumbs up
