New here. I live in St Louis. We have had a warm week or two after a pretty cold winter. But suddenly the season has lurched into action. I love planting winter-bloomers to get those gardening juices flowing this time of year. I have 2 Adonis amurensis cultivars in full bloom (the orangish one is a cultivar called Shuhou). And a dwarf witch hazel ('Quasimodo') which blooms much earlier than my other witch hazels. I usually have hellebores blooming by now, but they're just barely starting now. Should be in full gear within another week or two. My H. foetidus is in full bloom (such as it is). I hope the pictures load - never tried it before ...
Beautiful Julia, LongK and SloMo ( )
Julia, that variegated hellebore is unbelievable! Is that Snow Fever?
SM, I did not do the adonis but I'm sorry now.
LongK, lovely ginger flowers! So interesting.
