I am so happy to see my returning favorites (they are all favorites) and excited to see the new ones I put in last fall.

Can't remember the name of this one but it starts with an M. I got it as a free bonus bulbs from American Meadows last year. Pretty flowers but they are small. But I like it.

Itizm

It is growing in the narrow rose bed I have off the patio and by the house.

Daff February Gold is new this year. Next year I hope it blooms earlier. I bought it because it is an early variety!

No, I like my flowers outside so don't bring them in. I go out and visit them many times each day. Hilarious!

Do you keep the forced ones inside? My daffs are all out in the garden in ground. Not even any in pots.

Yes, inside till the bloom is over, then outside into garage (big window lets sun fortify foliage) till dried out over summer, then into the ground come fall. Most forced daffodils return blooming outside the following season. Actually every one of my outside daffodils started life inside as forced bulbs. I have an old refrigerator in basement dedicated to forcing (holds 25 6" pots).Thumb of 2013-04-27/jmorth/73a52b Thumb of 2013-04-27/jmorth/03f809

Some people are just not as patient for spring to get here . I too have forced bulbs in early spring . I also bring in branches of forsythia and crab to force. Maybe I need to live in a warmer zone Smiling

This mornings daffodil blooms.

Thumb of 2013-05-03/Newyorkrita/687d97 Thumb of 2013-05-03/Newyorkrita/110ae8

Then there are daffs around and in front of the front yard pond.
Thumb of 2013-05-03/Newyorkrita/591e10

And I have daffs in back of a stand of pink flowering tulips.
Thumb of 2013-05-03/Newyorkrita/4a5ad6 Thumb of 2013-05-03/Newyorkrita/89cc18

Another way I use daffs in the garden is to mix them with a stand of tulips. Especially red ones as I love the red and yellow color combo. And here in this section I have tied it all together wuth a stand of daffodils all by themselves up on the topmost section.
