Oh Neal, I'm worried about Blonde Vision. She was early last year like this and was damaged by snow and freezing.
Here's on old photo of her.

LG, Crossing Fingers! hoping your weather is better this year. Such a gorgeous peony, it's heartbreaking when frosts mess up such choice and special blooms.

Thanks for your good wishes! It is sad that peonies only bloom once, and if they get ruined by frosts or storms we have to wait another year!
Sighing!

And isn't it always a really pricey one that happens to? That's particularly frustrating!

My BV didn't even have a bud last year, probably won't this year either since I moved part of it last fall. Put it in the north facing beds that warm up last, hope sleeping later will negate the negative impacts of our late snows/cold weather. Hope yours bloom this year, Mieko! Karen, you got one last fall, right? Hope to see your blooms as well!

I have my Blond Vision in a pot, I'll be taking most of the potted peonies in due to freezing temps over the next few nights.

Here are a few pics from this weekend, already shared in their respective forums. I'm loving this time of year when clematis armandii Snowdrift starts blooming by my front door, perfuming the front garden. I know peony season is right around the corner.

N. Delibes is also blooming well, and it is fragrant!

Wow, so gorgeous, Annette! I love your front entrance - so grand and the combination of pink camellias and white clematis is really lovely.

Annette, your entrance is so gorgeous and welcoming! I didn't know that daffodil is fragrant, it's one I've never gotten for some reason.

Beautiful, Annette!
Neal, you should get that daffodil. It is always an eye catcher at my place!

Neal, I stuffed my face in the blooms last night, just to make sure there were scented😂! I'll be happy to share some of the bulbs when they multiply!

Thanks LG, and I agree, Delibes is an eye catcher!

White Flower Farm just sent a notice that they were shipping Suffruticosa Kamata Fuji. It has to go to the Portland, Oregon transshipper then on to me. Hope to heaven I can pot it and keep it alive until I can plant it outside. I love that plant. It is a replacement for one I lost several years ago. Finally found it.

It is strange that I see photos of it that are definitely a lavender tipped in white, then also a pink tipped in white. I think the lavender ones are photoshopped.

Awesome Mary Stella! Please post photos of the Plant when it arrives!!

I am watching my Kamatanishiki very closely. I am rejuvenating this TP with fertilizer and compost. It hasn't bloomed in years.

LG, are you covering your plants with buds?

We're getting down to 32 tonight.

Annette I did cover everything with buds, and threw a few inches of pine straw over the ones that were a few inches up. I did not do anything to my established tree peonies even though most of them have buds. I sure hope I don't regret that!

Good luck to you.

I did the same here LG. I covered what I could with frost fabric, plastic pots, and plastic.

I'm sure some of my neighbors thought I was nuts, running around this evening with my flashlight trying to find some of the smaller plants in the dark.
