Yes, Josephine but we have to consider the whole world. Is it native to the rest of the world. We are an international brotherhood of gardeners here & can't exclude our friends in other countries.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
That image of the grass (wild sugarcane) is in the public domain but I can't vouch for the rest of the things on the USDA website.
I like it too but the image you started with of the daisy is better, IMHO. I kinda think we're leaning toward that one. They don't all shrink down so well, do they?
Yes, the one that used to look like a fried egg. Whichever works best, I'd say. Josephine's is very pretty, no doubt about it. And a daisy is very recognizable as a wildflower.

That one shrinks well, but I .... I hate to be the odd man (person?) out here, but when I see a flower I don't think "native," I think "flowers"
Of course, that's why we can mouse over them to see what they mean. Kind of like when I see a question mark badge
edited to add: and since I don't have any better ideas, you can ignore my comment if you'd like. I won't be offended.
Northwest Georgia Daylily Society I'm going to retire and live off of my savings. Not sure what I'll do that second week. My yard marches to the beat of a bohemian drummer...
I still like the idea of the letter N or NP in a small blue colored square. N for native or NP for native plant. There are so many different kinds of native plants, trees, shrubs, grasses perennials, annuals, etc.

So true Lynn and that should be easy to do...my vote would be NP rather then just N.
