Wow! Super edges and gorgeous ruffles everybody! I amazed how much bigger the ruffles and edges have increased since this thread was started in 2018. A question for everyone who has posted since the thread was updated: how do these daylilies open for you? Do you get hangups? Do they open well on a consistent basis?

Don't get too excited about QH Dana. It throws a lot of ugly blotchy blooms for me so I have to be ready with the camera when it's feeling pretty.

Those are pretty cool, Digger! Jillz, I had that same problem with Darla Anita. Half the time the blooms were Godawful...and then she'd throw something gorgeous. She couldn't take my winter season. No sign at all by the second year. Still, quoting Hemingway is amazing when it's on.

That last seedling is pretty intriguing...

Zoia - I have a friend that plays at hybridizing. She's registered 10 all but I think 1 named for friends who've passed. When I moved to this house she gifted me nine plants. 3 registered. 3 unbloomed seedlings. And 3 that has bloomed but she was keeping ones of the same cross she liked better. I think this is one of the unbloomed ones. I really like it. It has a nice plant habit. And the spattering and brownish coloring makes it very interesting. I think when I've increased it enough I will register it.

It's a nice looking plant! I like the speckly ones, I think it's a coloration that hasn't been explored enough yet. I bought Greywoods Dottie Do Little last year specifically for her speckly interesting coloration

@Eagleriver, unless you are planning on selling plants, there is no law that says that you have to wait to register a plant.

Mike I do plan on selling them- it's just not ready - I need to increase it and do the actual measurements. This was a plan we made for the coming year. I have a couple non registered seedlings I purchased that haven't even bloomed yet- plus this year I purchased seed as well as made my own crosses

All the Intangibles (Derrow, 2016) has a light pink picotee and gold edge. The closeup picture below was a failed attempt at capturing the insane level of gold dusting on the edge that day.

The light pink watermark makes this one really stand out.
