If you have extra succulents, I would love some.
I am trying so hard to grow them but something or the other happens.

Thank You!

Hello SGardener

Welcome to the swap.

This is not a 1:1 plant trade.
Ellen created this community event where we bring extra plants that we have and can share and then we take back what we find.
This post is a pretrading forum. We list things that we have limited quantities of. People in this forum get first dibs. We then put names on those and place it in the pre trading section on the day of the swap. If no one wants it, then it goes into the general trading pool.

Pink Kalanchoe if this is ok for the people that requested it. It is almost done blooming so it doesn't look that g8. I have a few clippings set aside for those that requested it. Just wanted to show the pic so you know what it looks like.

Sgardener, welcome!
Am pretty sure someone will have oriental poppies for you, as we had in the past. I am so glad you thinking of coming and meeting in person, sure am biased but it is a lot of fun event!
As seedrat mentioned our swap is rather give and take event which does not have 1 to 1 trading section, we just never found it working. Glad that is clarified, am betting you will be surprised and find a ton of plants you did not know you needed! LOL

I just sent you a "TreeMail" private message offering advice on caring for succulents, in case that's helpful to you.

Wow, you lucky people! I don't think our area ever has swaps like this. They're a great idea, and just meeting everyone would be a real treat.

Thank you, Karen. I feel lucky indeed. It is so much fun I look forward to it every year. The greatest part is getting to see gardening friends again and again. To think that I did not join the activities until the third year because initially I had no idea what it involved. Many thanks to Ellen who started it and keeps on organizing it year after year. You can start one in your area too and bring joy to the community. Have fun.

Yes I think that the plant with the little yellow flowers is the plant I got last year. I would appreciate any if you can spare.

Jqsen - is all of your aloe vera spoken for?

I have 2 more baby plants left and I will put your name on it.
They are tiny little plants. I did not have space to replant and hence giving them to good homes. Hurray!

2018 wish list

Aquilegia (columbine), any except for Alpina (dwarf alpine blue)

Iris, dark colors: especially purple, burgundy and brown

Trillium and dutchman's breeches

Dicentra eximia "Luxuriant", Fringed Bleeding heart

Big root geranium (Geranium Macrorrhizum), other colors besides pink. Anyone have white?

Geranium Lily Lowell

geranium maculatum Espresso, Samobor, or Midnight Reiter.

Euphorbia (the one I got at my first plant swap DIED! There was a soil washout where it was growing)

Mini hostas (of a size with Blue Mouse ears or similar, especially GOLD or BLUE.)

Hellebores: any color

Pulmonaria (I have a couple but they are not filling in )

Primulas: any color except magenta

Heuchera, esp purple tones and/or silvery (not Palace Purple). Ellen's seedlings from 2016 are the only ones thriving!

Cimicifuga or actaea

Plumbago (ceratostigma)

Verbena Bonarensis

Things that are PURPLE or SILVER!

+++++++++++

CAN BRING (It's still early to tell, I'll have more to add later. So many things are not up yet.)

Eupatorium "chocolate"
Lunaria, variegated, with crisp white edge on leaves, deep maroon flowers (biennial), will bring both first year seedlings and second year plants, which will be setting seed by the time of the swap. Can also bring SEEDS for these, they are easy to sow and might do better for you that way.
Phlox, unknown colors
New England Aster, tall, unknown colors (would be pink or purple)
Autumn Joy sedum
Daffodils, don't know which colors I'll have yet. All are tall, no little ones. I seem to have trouble with those.
Geranium Macrorrhizum aka "Big root geranium" Bevan's Variety (bright pink)
Silene dioica (maybe)
Primula: magenta with yellow center. Small flowers but very vigorous. (ALL SPOKEN FOR NOW)
Alpine columbine, short, deep purple-blue short-spurred flowers
Golden Tiara hosta; small, green with narrow gold edge (will bring only if someone wants some)
Abby hosta: small to medium, blue green with lighter green edge (will bring only if someone wants some)
Baby Booties mini hosta: green with sharp white irregular edge. (This is a new one, so I may have only one available. It's not up yet, so hard to tell)
Lily of the Valley (will bring only if someone wants some).

Let me know if there's anything you got from me before that you want more of! I'm already excited! Hurray!
