I have Dancer. It leans a little here. Pretty thing though.

I do recall seeing other in the series of Moe, and Curly Joe, and Billet Doux.

Someone is offering a trade for N W B D which is shorter and 5 inch. I like the taller daylilies.

I cannot find my notes of which I had a preference from Gary's garden during a convention. But one had stood above the rest.

Have you any comments on the three?

Thank you.

BTW - not spelled correctly in our data base - north wind has two words on Gary's website. I was searching for some pics.

What daylily has it as one word? I looked up North Wind Dancer and it matches the AHS database....
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'North Wind Dancer')

Never mind, I found it.
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'North Wind Billet Doux')

I will let Dave know.

I fixed it, from Bobbie's proposal. No need to contact Dave. Thumbs up

By the way, does anyone know why it's gary and not Gary? Blinking

I have Northwinds Moe, Curly Joe and Larry all three. For awhile there Gary was selling the three in a package, don't know if he still is. Now I can't remember how long I have had them, four years maybe. Surprisingly considering they were hybridized uo North they all three do very poorly here. Started off as small plants single fans and stayed singles for years. I think went to two fans last year. They don't bloom much either. Really stingy on the blooms. I would NEVER have gotten them if I had any idea they would do this poorly for me.

When I said something to gary in an e-mail about gary instead of Gary he said it was just something left over from highschool. BTW, North Wind Larry is listed as North Windy Larry on Tinkers.

I hope they do better here in Tennessee than in NY. I just plunked down a big check a couple of weeks ago for all three. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

gary does all his as two words, North Wind and that's how they are listed here and on the AHS. Tinkers also got theirs from AHS.

Tinkers lists North Wind Larry as North "WINDY" Larry. Probably just a typo. Guess someone needs to alert Tinker's. I'll try to get in touch with them tomorrow.

I have North Wind Dancer and it does real well for me. I have never had any problems with it not blooming. Blooms for a long time. Also scapes do not lean for me.

Isn't it amazing how daylilies in different areas grow? That's what part of the 'fun' is ~Jan
