These are the ones you just got?? They are huge!! I have Paradighn,, and Earth Angel was on my list because it's so beautiful but I had to scratch it off for the time being because I have so many other giants. Maybe later if I don't run out of yard. Hilarious!

OK, thank you Jo Ann, Hopefully I will get mine soon. The orders with Coneflowers ship later because they are not ready, he could probably ship me a dormant plant in a pot of dirt but I don't think that is the way he does things. Green Grin!

virginiarose said:I received my order from High Country Gardens, yesterday(02-23-12) and I have:

Caryopteris clandonensis 'Dark Knight'---8.49
Asclepias Tuberosa-orange butterfly weed---8.49
shipping--9.99
total---26.97

I do not understand how this could be a deciduous shrub, there is no stems and it just looks like a seedling. I expected something bigger and I am not sure why, I ordered this November 27, 2011, and if I had planted a seed that very day I would expect to have this, but I thought I was purchasing a plant, plant. Blinking
The butterfly weed is more like it, these pots are three inches wide but six inches deep, I don't know why they needed such a big pot, If they say three inch or four inch, don't you kinda expect it to be full of roots or almost full. This is a pot of fresh dirt and a freshly planted plant. I am disappointed to say the least, mainly with the shrub which is one inch tall. Glare

This company had agreed to send me a bigger plant in April and here it is!!

You can bet if it was at a garden center on a table , it would get passed over for something better.

I know, right? I agree I thought it was a joke or something. Why spend all that money to mail me a pot full of dirt in a giant box. My original plant seems bigger than that and it is still in the three inch pot with plenty of room. Whistling

Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

It would get passed over even if there was nothing better. Glare Something else that makes me sick is that I could have gotten much bigger plants from Mamajacks for six dollars, But I had already ordered from HCG so I passed on it. Sad

Some lessons are learned the hard way. I would definatly hound the vendor until your satisfied.
Please report this on Garden Watchdog so no one else gets burned.

Good news.My first order with Bluestones new planters is due on Sat. I really like a notice of shipping with a tracking number.
