Yes Gurneys is funny, however at end of season you can get some bargans if you don't mind small plants. I got four butterfly bushes and two lilac bushes and of course they were nine inches tall but it's ok I only paid about 3.00 a piece. Hurray!

The coneflowers I got from Burpee were about 11.99 a piece and ten dollars for shipping.

To me that is another order to contact the company about , include the pictures. They might give you a hard time for waiting a few days but worth a try.

I will have to go back and read the agreement because I remember some company stated that they don't do well in shipping so they mail them in a dormant state. So I might not have a prayer. They seem to have good roots though, however I am getting three year plants from Hallsons for the same price. Glare

Got my order from Plants Delight Nursery. Added two coneflowers at the last minute, they had problems with my bank because they were off line. They handeled the whole thing really well, I gave them good feedback on DG. I have six plants all together and I think they are really healthy looking and most are just starting to break dormancy, the root system is full and healthy. Cant wait to see them bloom. Green Grin! Also I noticed the unusual packing nice and tight, just rubberbands and tissue paper. Not a bunch of tape to deal with, and it was very easy to unwrap, no dirt missing and still moist. They got my business for sure, and for me they are a native company in my zone and I think the plants will do much better than the ones that are shipped from accross the US.

Plus I am getting two from mamajack, actually I was the one who asked her to get the Monarda Raspberry Wine, they are such a beautiful color.

Monarda citriodora--This one was her idea, she kept bragging about how beautiful it was so I just had to get one. It really is beautiful. Lovey dubby

Thank you springcolor, I am excited about flame thrower, I have heard good things! Our weather is very good, too good. Still trying to figure out what happened to winter? Yesterday was in seventies and today is in eighties. Whistling

Good question. I'll have to go look. Green Grin!

That plant is gorgeous, Susan. I find that Plant Delights has some very interesting and not-so-common things. Yes, they are a bit more expensive, but you get what you pay for, IMHO.

Looks like I ordered five new crinums, some cold-hardy gingers (Hedychium), a cold-hardy banana, and pokeberry (Phytolacca americana).

Yes, I'm broke. Shrug! Whistling

Raspberry Wine is a real nice plant I have it for a few years now. Your will be able to be divided in just a year or so , they get big fast. I was the one who asked for Purple Rooster which to me is the best looking dark purple.
