Phlox can be invasive. But I like it in my front yard, which is the ~8 feet between the sidewalk and the house, so I think I can contain it!

LOL I dont count on my memory for anything. When I started the gardens here I used white plastic spoons to mark where I had planted things.
DD gave me the wierd eye and I know the rest of the kids thought I was nuts. Sitting on the deck looking at a graveyard of plastic spoons until the plants matured and covered them. That was 5 years ago.
Last fall I gave DD some allium bulbs plus other stuff. She has her gardening style and I have mine so she gets to plant in her gatdens.
I was taking her to the airport Friday, she said "Ohhhh gee I think I planted the alliums on top of the lilies"
I told her I knew everyone thought I was nuts to mark the gardens with spoons but there was a method to my madness.

That is so funny, Hilarious! I thought mine looked weird with the white sticks sticking up everywhere. At one point all I could see was white sticks this pass winter, then I decided I needed something besides sticks. Here come the evergreens! I planted a Arborvitae and Nandina Firepower and Domestica. I miss my blue-rug juniper, but I had to dig it up to make room for the Hosta, Then I dug up the azaleas because they were not getting enough sun. I planted some evergreens behind the hosta's and I was in such a rush to get those Hosta planted I forgot to tag them. That was the end of November when I planted them, then around the first of February I transplanted these shrubs from other parts of the yard. A lot of the Hosta are coming up now but I did damage one because I forgot to tag it and did not know it was there. Sad I will take more pics today since it stopped raining. Before I do that I gotta reformat my sd card because it is full of pictures. Can't believe I took 400 pictures, hummm. Whistling
