Nice 'Walking Stick'. I ♥ sedums too. I want that new 'Masterpiece' Candytuft. That's really nice. I was just at Lowe's but forgot to look for it. I didn't even bother with our local large nursery ... highway robbery there. Angry

I bought 2 of the masterpiece, they were 6 something for a quart size. I had a 20% off coupon from the garden show. I'm going to put them in the propapator. I'll bet they are easy. It will be interesting to see if they perform as good as the old standby.

All the pix are wonderful. I recieved the issue of Garden Gate mag and there was a booklet on containers and combos.
I have a question about numbers of plants in a 18 inch container. They show 5,I use 3.
I know this isnt the container forum but perennials are used in planters.

I usually use three as well since I intend for them to stay in the pots and grow as large as they can. I suppose if I am using small perennials, five would be okay. 18" is a fairly good size of pot, but not overly huge, IMHO.

I get Garden Gate so I'll have to go take a look and refresh my memory (what little I have left apparently). Glare
