I bought 2 of the masterpiece, they were 6 something for a quart size. I had a 20% off coupon from the garden show. I'm going to put them in the propapator. I'll bet they are easy. It will be interesting to see if they perform as good as the old standby.

Have finally been able to repot this noid Crassula succulent, now it is in a hanging basket, since it is trailing a lot:


And ongoing work in progress..third attempt...to grow plumeria cuttings..keeping fingers crossed!

Crassula succulent has so much color, Very pretty. What color blossoms does Pelargonium crispum 'Prince Rupert' have. Hope you will post when it blooms.

Ah that Crassula succulent is very prolific, one of my hard to kill ones This is my first time to have Pelargonium c. Prince Rupert so I will surely update later as it goes

All the pix are wonderful. I recieved the issue of Garden Gate mag and there was a booklet on containers and combos.
I have a question about numbers of plants in a 18 inch container. They show 5,I use 3.
I know this isnt the container forum but perennials are used in planters.

I usually use three as well since I intend for them to stay in the pots and grow as large as they can. I suppose if I am using small perennials, five would be okay. 18" is a fairly good size of pot, but not overly huge, IMHO.

I get Garden Gate so I'll have to go take a look and refresh my memory (what little I have left apparently).

I finally located it in that stack of magazines over there ... "Containers Made Easy"? They do show some gorgeous containers! Which ones are you thinking about?
