Well, I called it quits and went to bed early. Actually by 7 PM the throbbing was pretty bad but I just did not want to take those tylenol with codeine. So I looked to see what other over the counter pain meds I already had in the medicine cabinet. I haven't taken anything but aspiren in years and years. But I knew I had some others. I found Aleve so I took one at 7 pm and that seemed to work fine. I just warmed up my can of beef broth some and drank that. Then later I had a nice really ripe banana which took me a long time to eat and a yogurt. Drank some Ensure which I usually have for breakfast.
I didn't even think of jello until it was suggested but I didn't have any. No popsickles or ice crean here either. I do have sherbert but didn't feel like eating it. Wasn't even up to sometime like mak and cheeze yesterday.
I just went to bed and had no problems sleeping. I feel much better today. I would say no pain unless I bother it, just tenderness. I haven't even taken more pain meds other than that one Aleve last night. So just think I need to be careful what I eat today and all will be fine. Thank you all for your well wishes.

Aleve is the greatest thing ever. Seriously. I dunno how I would have survived college without it. LOL
Broth is very very good. Gives you the proteins & the salts you need. Ensure is good stuff too, tastes pretty good, but soooooooo high in calories! You probably need the caloric intake, though. I'd be careful of jello 'cuz I personally like to slursh it in my mouth until it's almost liquid & jello does NOT break down easily with saliva, so a teeny piece may get stuck in the hole. But if you're having only tenderness, then I think you're on the up & up!
Get a nice cup of tea, sit out on your porch, and oogle those purdy dafs & other flowers you got!!
Toni, I never eat breakfast and usually forget to take vitamins so Ensure makes a good breakfast for me. Only 250 calories, not so much. Yesterday I had actually had one for breakfast and the second one near bedtime. But I was a little hungry so it was good. Stopped hungers and since I really had not eaten I could use the extra calories yesterday.
It is very tender and I can't put any pressure there. So only going to have troubles eating, otherwise if I just do nothing, it is fine. Yesterday I had beef broth, today I will have the chicken broth later. I am sure I will be fine. I was just thinking of going outside and looking at all my flowers anyway.
I have a friend who has to have oral surgeries fairly often, and after each surgery she lives on milk shakes. I'm so glad you're feeling better now, Rita. And at least you got it taken care of right away before the infection got worse and maybe into your bloodstream. And it's all uphill from here, thank heavens!
Thanks Betty! I knew I had to do something as it was not going to just take care of itself. I am sitting here drinking chicken bullion right now. Tastes good!
Oh, boy! Sue found Flea Market Gardening at the local Lucky supermarket and bought copies for herself and for me.
Wow, wow, wow! Your garden looks fabulous, JD! They managed to get some really wide shots that are stunning and some closer shots that show your wonderful touches of whimsy, which are never obtrusive or overdone. I wish you could live next door to me!
Thanks, Zu !
I have the copy I was planning on sending you in th front seat of my truck. Been trying to get to the post office with it for a week now. Every time I get there, the line is out the door and I'm pressed for time. You know how the post office is: 43 people in line and TWO windows open.
JD, when Sue looked at the pictures of your garden, she was ready to get in her car and drive right down to see it in person. You can expect a visit from her one of these days.
Sue, everything is so pretty in your garden. My roses are growing but certainly not blooming yet. I did get out this afternoon and spray them for the first time this year with the fungicide and liquid fertilizer mix.
