The weather has been playing havoc with the gardens! Firstly a lot of rain then hot sun, with showers in between! It was hot over the weekend for us, hitting 90 F on Saturday and the high 80s on Sunday! That with the rain showers has caused it to get very humid. The weeds are growing like mad!
Regards.
Neil.

Isn't it nasty that the weeds respond to tough weather? Cooker her early in the week.

It rained last night but is very sunny, hot and muggy today! Ideal for weeds, one thinks.

I haven't wither Lucy. I love hanging fuchsia, and so do the hummingbirds. My fuchsia come in every fall and go back out every spring. (If they survived the winter indoors which is kinda 50/50 for me)

We get a lot of hardy fuchsias in the UK! Magellan types are the commonest, these came from Wales originally and were used for hedging and still are. It is cold, wet and very windy in north Wales facing the Atlantic and they survive there, perfectly. Down here whole massive hedges are made from them and they look spectacular! The flowers are smaller than the showy ones, but you get more flowers and over a longer period, quite lovely in early spring and right into Autumn they flower.
