There already has been a lot of damage in Cornwall and the south west of the UK! A 14 year old boy was hit by a freak gust of wind knocked into the sea and blown out into deeper water. They have given up looking for his body as nothing can fly!
The storm which is an Atlantic storm is moving acroos the south of Britain but is due to turn north west which will when it hits the north sea bring amber alerts and flooding to where Muriel is. Sorry Muriel Kent is getting battered at the moment and it is getting worse. They say the worst here will be around six o' clock (AM), then it will move northwards and hit the easterly winds and you will get some and rain! Flooding alerts and actual flooding in 29 parts of Kent alone, with tons in Cornwall at the moment!
Wish us luck!
Love.
Neil.
p.s. Trees down everywhere!

My Acer griseum or the paperbark maple stood the storm OK. The Hurricane that hit us and Europe was named St. Jude and was far from Saintly!
Just coming into its autumn/fall colours!
Love to all.

New year for us all - lets hope it will be a good one.
The shortest day was the 22nd December with 4 hours of sunlight. The days are getting longer now and at the end of February we will have 12 hours of sunshine on a bright day. It is a bright day here today and the temperature is 37°F. The ice and snow is melting and it is very slippery outside but most walkways have been sanded and streets salted.

I hope that spring will come soon - well it comes when it comes, but I was going through my seeds to find what I should sow first. I think Lobelia is the winner. I have some tree seeds in trays and was just thrilled when I found Seven Sons Flower (Heptacodium miconoides) seed germinated.

Neil, I´m sending you my sincerest wishes that this year will be good for you and your family

Here are just a few photos from last year.

Hello Neil and co. Do you have anything growing yet? I received some tree seeds yesterday and plan to sow them very soon. Among the new seeds are Gingko biloba and Nothofagus pumillo. I vill also sow some lobelias this weekend.

Most sorry I have not been around! Mother and father are not well and the rain for what seems months now has caused mass flooding in a lot of places. Torrential cold rain and wind has caused untold damage everywhere. I got soaked and knocked into a wall when a bus hit a massive rain puddle and swamped all of us at the bus stop. Water everywhere.,
Hope you are all well?
Love.
Neil.
