My much anticipated 'Spring Beauty' Crocus from High Country Gardens...well, ....it isn't. I like it, but it's definitely not 'Spring Beauty'. This was my first order with them, so I'm not feeling particularly good about ordering from them in the future.

You should definately call customer service and make them replace those bulbs!

No answer. As to be expected this time of year...

People must be ordering plants already for spring shipment, there must be office hours already. Maybe best to try in the morning.

I have been studding the crocus at Scheepers and have decided on what I will be ordering in crocus for planting this fall.

500 tommies at 100 each of

Also 100 of Crocus sieberi Tricolor
Species Grand Collection of 250 bulbs
50 Yellow Mammoth

Makes a total of 1,600 crocus. I think that is ambitious enough for me!

So will you be putting all those in by yourself?

They are small bulbs, shouldn't be too hard to do! I really have put off getting crocus for years and years and years so it is time to fix that. Plus I have a tendency to go overboard with things sometimes, you think?

They said their supplier ran low, so just shipped these labeled as 'Spring Beauty' instead!

They've received numerous complaints about this one.

Well, at least you get your money back.

You can say that again! The total on my mixed-up bulbs was only $3.60!

Don't remember. One of these days I think I'll have to start writing things down. I seem to think my memory was better at some time but not sure, I can't remember!

Found a site that has a picture very similar and they are calling it C. chrysanthus ' E.A. Bowles' But can't say for certain that's what they are.
