Song - excellent link. Smiling
BUT now I have a whole new website to explre - and since I'm compulsively thorough, it may take a long time . Rolling my eyes.

SO I say turn about is fair play.

lovely door link... great to see lots of Hundertwasser the father of green roofs and other building inovations.. things here... there was a mural of his nearby that they had removed and was to be a centerpiece for a gallery of his work.. but I don't think they got it reinstalled... someone not knowing it's value gave it away to this person that removed it and got it preserved ..
yes.. they left alot of great things in the store... the biggestt was the store it' self.. they signed a 5 year lease.. renovated and then walked away after three years.. continuing to pay the rent for the 5 years.. about 20 G/mo wasted

Yikes. Talk about taking gardening to new heights. Green Grin!

That quilt is beautiful. So many quilts have garden themes as well. I don't know the name of that one. Does anyone?

Well, I want to thank you all for providing me with lots of good links and creative projects to look at while I am not sleeping! So creative! Gordon, for me and others who aren't completely familiar with how you garden... you live in New York and garden on your rooftop? Is that correct? Can we see some pictures? I think I've seen a few but I'd love to see more!

I don't think Gordon will mind me giving his gardens some more publicity:

And some more new pictures would be great as well.

Hurray! I agree

boo,yes Im selling them at a fund raiser for our Humane Society....We hold a Perennial plant sale in may,Ive got 12 chairs 2 wallpocket planters and a matching hanging planter,Lotsof Perennials...I will be filling the chairs full of flowers, have 12 inch pots for them...Wanted to do chicken wire baskets under the seats, too time consumming and the cost of coco liners...So we decided it was best to use Large pots..The dh reinforced the seat bottoms after cutting the holes, some have hardware wire in the seat bottoms to hold the pots.I didnt get to fancy on the paint....Ive already got a bit of time in them,I want to do one for myself ....

HA HA HA Tee.. Speaking of new heights... it's planting season here... and roof gardening is in full swing... I was passing by and got this planting picture.....if you've plenty of available cash and a roof you'd like to populate with full grown trees...today.. and now wait for them to grow out... this is the "A Ticket".. everything I have in my garden.. got there by carrring everything up on my back.. or you can get a crane..
Thumb of 2012-04-22/GordonHawk/819c52
it looks to be about 26 floors tall... this is the shot I got driving by.. you can just barely see the green up around the top floor
Thumb of 2012-04-22/GordonHawk/53023b
oh.. I was doing some lighting in a friends garden the other day.. these are a few of her native bog gardens awakening.. from outside wintering... little pitcher plants.. and a bunch of things I have no idea about.. the yellow flowering bog plant.. is so cute.. it looks like something from a faries dream

this is another... auto focus missed it and got the background... I wasn't going to post it... it being so out of focus... but it's out of a bog plant.. a tall.. maybe 24" tall flower spike.. in this light pink.. and on the tip of every branch of the spike the tinyest bright sparkling blue flower..

Those rooftop gardens are simply amazing. I am always amazed by the way they put things in place with cranes in NYC. The whole process is just mesmerizing. Nice pitchers, BTW. Thumbs up

Tamara, you know how sometimes things just work out for the best? Well, the way you ended up slipping the pots through the hole is one of those! The reason is that I loved being able to raise my pot out of the hole to change things around, prune it etc.
