Could you put a small border fence (you know, the 18in high type) just inside your property line? That might help him stay out of your yard.

Or use one an a border on HIS side of your boxwood/burning bush/somethingorother hedge.

@abhege, what does your red sorrell look like. I goggled it and saw a lot of different plants and also a picture of a donkey.

Has an arrowhead leaf and runs, like a strawberry but mostly underground.
