I would eradicate the Bermuda grass, sorry but I hate it. I want zoysia. Green Grin!

second- I would eradicate the Birch trees, the shade is great but the roots are terribly invasive.

third- I would eradicate the sidewalk going to the back door, its too low and it fills up with water when it rains, I have stepping stones on my sidewalk, how stupid is that? Grumbling

LOL. I would also eliminate the dog owners that let their dogs poop in others yards when they walk them.

I just switched my bird feeders to all sunflower seeds because those other birds don't like it. I like Goldfinches and they love sunflower seeds! I think the crows are too lazy to crack the sunflower seeds. Rolling on the floor laughing

The sidewalk to my front porch settled sometime in the 25 years since the house was built, and floods everytime it rains. I filled it in with mini-pine-nuggets and have a nice path from the driveway to the front porch now.

Sounds like a good idea. Thumbs up

They are probably too big to balance their self on the small perches. I only put out sunflower seeds, cheep black ones, I have a lot of finches and black-caped chickadees. Plus the Red birds (cardinals). Sometimes the Doves will hang-out on the ground under the feeder. I do not have much trouble with the squirrels since I got a new feeder, Its a NONO feeder and the squirrel can only get one seed at a time so he gets frustrated and leaves, swishing his tail like he is mad. Who cares? Rolling on the floor laughing

I love watching the Doves. They are so smart to sit on the ground and wait for the other birds to drop their food. Rolling on the floor laughing

The squirrels will eventually figure out how to pry open the NONO feeder mesh a little wider. Or they'll realize that if they make it swing, seeds will drop out the sides of it. At least the GA squirrels figured that out. So I use my NONO feeder *far* away from the other bird feeders, and the squirrels go after it and leave the others alone. My primary feeders have a wire cage on springs -- when a squirrel jumps onto it, the springs lower the cage and little decorative metal leaves cover the ports. These have been the best-working ones for me for almost 10 years now. It takes the squirrels a lot longer to figure out a work-around (I don't think anything is totally squirrel proof).

I get titmice, nuthatches, cardinals, woodpeckers, goldfinches, chikadees, sparrows and more at my feeder, and doves, towhees, and chipmunks underneath it to collect the spillage. And that's just the one on my porch. I have no idea what all goes to the other ones scattered around.

I do have woodpeckers in the front yard that come to the suet feeder. I put a small suet(hot pepper) inside a small suet feeder and put the small feeder into the big suet feeder. I also have a strong metal feeder I put peanuts in for the blue jays. Actually the blue jays help keep the squirells away, once they adopt your yard as their territory, I have seen them chasing squirells. Also I have seen Mocking Birds chasing squirells. If any should get near the nest. Rolling on the floor laughing

The feeders with the ports don't work around here because they just hang upside down and pull the bar up. Rolling on the floor laughing

My three things would be:

1. Rodents (squirrels and rabbits especially)
2. Cynanchum louisea, this viny weed is everywhere in my garden and neighborhood and just keeps resprouting indefinitely from root fragments.
3. Ornithogalum umbellatum aka stars of Bethlehem. Yes, the flowers are very pretty but only one in every 10000 plants actually blooms. In the meantime, its spring foliage is so dense that it smothers and chokes out everything in sight.

I have a few other annoyances like garlic mustard, sorrel and mint that are quite easy to manage in the landscape compared to the horrors listed above.

I'd go with # 1, except I'd change it to no temps over 95° And add no drought!

Hmmm. Maybe I could help you fill in that hole ... they say that spot composting is a practical way to dispose of ... unwanted organic matter ...
