I am soooooo glad we don't get that here. It's bad enough I have billions of morning glory and buckthorn seedlings to pull every spring. I wouldn't want to have to deal with that, too!

We probably all feel that way about each other's weeds and pest plants. But PI is an itchy bugger. At least for me. Then there are the people who are not allergic to it at all. Imagine that! nodding

98% of the yaupon holly. It has totally gotten out of hand, but would still like to have some.
What I call "lightening rods" in the yard....those pine trees grown to harvest. They are welcome on the back acres, but in the yard they could do some real damage if they fall.
Prickly pear cactus in the yard....again welcome on the back acres, but not the yard and especially in the dog run.

Even during the mild days at the end of December I found more lamium in bloom and dug them up so fast.

Sadly, Cinquefoil (Potentilla hyparctica var. nana)

I brought it in here myself, not knowing it would run all over and smother the OTHER nice evergreen groundcovers I planted it among.

I had worked out a place to take it for reuse after I dig it up, but now I've lost transportation.
I do hate to kill a good plant just because it's in the wrong place. Guess I'll have to.

Here the lamium just replaces the Houttuynia, Aegopodium and Celandine that I have successfully eliminated. I never pull it up but always dig it up. I just won't take the chance the roots left behind will grow.

Creeping charlie (Glechoma hederacea)
has to be one of my worst weeds . If I don't get an early start it can and will cover several of my perennial beds . I also hate the way it loves mulch , if you try to smother it it just loves to spread even more. The roots fill the mulch and are impossible to remove. Grumbling

My favorite herbicide is cardboard.

And that cinquefoil I naively planted works pretty much the same way as creeping charlie.

I was hoping Dixie would dig 15 small holes. You could rent her out as a bulb planter. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing
