My office window this week...wish the spruce would die outside my window so I'd get more light!

Lovely. Calanthes are so elegant!! The wildcat is so cheerful. Love the Ascocentrum ampullaceum (just got one). You can send the spruce here, I need some.

I had a pleasant surprise today, moved some plants around and found one of my old Masdevallias blooming.
This is Masdevallia Midnight Ruby, coming from Hoosier Orchids via a Christmas present.

The epi people look like Beaker to me-Beaker screaming. Can't wait for my Sigmatostalix unguiculata to grow up! The pic of the Cattleya schilleriana is just wonderful, Ursula! And what a great surprise that masdie is!!

I look at them essentially as horizontally (bare root) mounted and keep them in maximum light. ( right under the glass ceiling) I water daily, but they dry up very fast in that spot.
I have one in a Bonsai dish, it attached itself firmly to that. I moved the other one last year to an epi-web basket, have to see how that works in a long run. At the moment the bonsai dish is winning.
