I was hoping the purple veins in the petals would read better but the reduction has subdued them. In any case, if you like that plant, it's even better in person. You'll have to visit sometime so I can take you to Roger's. He grows only catts now and he's about 15 minutes away from me.

I'm with you Bree! I kept trying to ignore it and as I was about to pay for the 2 others my mouth said, "And I'll take GH, too!" My mouth knows more about my subconscious than I do. George is as photogenic as my roses. There are some flowers that always shoot better than others.

I don't mean to bore you, but the Bulbo patens blooms looked so nice in today's sunshine I had to take another picture, this time back-lit and from the back.
Also, the blooms are very fragrant, the scent is very interesting. If you can imagine a combination of a smoky fire and Raspberries, you come close.

Good looking stuff Kathy, George and Hazel go together very nicely.

Ursula, what remains of your Trichopilia is very showy. I would be happy if I could get that much out of mine.

bree, your 'mossiae maybe' is a delight.

Thanks. They like a lot of sun, especially when the new growth starts. I used to see rot when I kept them too shady in Winter.

Wow! everything on this thread is beautiful! I'm still waiting for something worth a photo. The longer than normal cold winter, and wet, windy spring made my outdoor orchids sad this year. Hopefully I'll have something by the end of April... Sad

Not much new open here...just Vuylstekeara Aloha Passion.

I just placed an order with Cloud's Orchids...6 paphs, 2 cymbidiums and a nobile-type dendrobium...never tried the latter before so I figured, what the heck...can't be worse than my luck with phrags (which it is replacing incidentally)

Should be fun to grow, Todd.

Applying the Floof scale on the Aloha Passion, there are a lot ruffles and extra embellishments, how about an 86? ( after careful tallying the parts of course.... Smiling )

My Vanda Sansai Blue ( from Natts) is opening a spike. The blooms on this one are the bluest of my Sansai Blues. It will take a couple of weeks before the blooms are totally open and matured to a flatter display. But in the meanwhile....
