Time for a new thread -

My Ascofinetia Cherry Blossom 'Odoriko' is opening a bunch of cute little spikes.
For those who don't have room for huge Vandas....

I don't do well with Miltoniopsis. Either I am losing them outright, or they get spotty leaves, or they don't bloom.
This one has spotty leaves but it has 3 spikes, the first one just opened. It's a noid.

Both flowers are fully open on Dendrobium unicum.

We set up a misting system on the portable slat house this evening and resurrected the old greenhouse timer. I was surprised about how inexpensive the tubing, reduction fitting for the hose, T's and misting nozzles (360 and 165 degree) were. There was an instant physics review as the pressure kept dropping. There's a formula for that with a fancy name that I seem to have misplaced! Rolling on the floor laughing Need to put in a Y and have two separate lines to boost things up. That or do a lot of math. I'm down to a piddle at the end of the line.

Ahh that's it, Bernoulli's principle! Well now that I've been reminded, I also remember it's a bit complicated. Lots of goesintas and takeaways. Hilarious! Would my math skills be up to the task even if I review the formula? Maybe just putting in a Y connector and relying on Atlanta's ability to pressurize the water is the best bet. Big Grin

The living room smells yummy right now, I brought my Epidendrum parkinsonianum downstairs, the blooms exude a beautiful "white-floral" scent, nice!
