Love that shot of the Catesetum ! It looks like some critter created by Dr.Suess!

The Cym. is pretty! If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say not enough light.

My Lc Firedance x Nodosa is fully open now. It hung outside all winter, so it is a very tough one.

Carol, the colors are amazing on this X. Is there an age difference between the more yellow and the more reddish blooms? Very showy!

I agree, the Catasetum is great!!

And who is talking C-sections ( while my daughter-in-law is due next week....)? Rolling on the floor laughing I will do my best on that Cattleya section!! Smiling

Bree, very pretty!!

Yes Ursula, they open cerise and turn yellow as they age. The first year 1 spike with 2 blooms, the 2nd year 3 spikes with 2 blooms this year 6 spikes with up to 5 blooms. Glad it likes it out there.

My Cattleya luteola opened a nice spike. I took it out to take a picture and discovered another full spike just breaking through the sheath.
This one had such a hard time last year, the slugs really went after it (outside). It is since then totally bare-root in its Bonsai planter and doing just fine.
