I think everyone should have it. If I ever lose her I would get another pronto.

Coelogne lawrenceana bloomed this spring and sent out a late spike. Here is the first large flower.

And my bletillas have a new home. I hope Todd can give me very specific instructions so I don't lose them. Or goldenfish.

Another month and many many wonderful plants with beautiful blooms.

Kathy, regarding overwintering your Bletillas, if you have a root cellar/cold room between 35 to 45 deg. F, they should do quite well. That is what I do with mine in late October after being touched by frost a couple of times.

Miltoniopsis Gordon Hoyt 'Dolores' FCC/AOS on left and Miltoniopsis Pearl Ono 'Iliwai' AM/AOS on right to compare size. The Gordon Hoyt is nearly twice as big as normal size Pearl Ono.

Close up of Miltoniopsis Pearl Ono 'Iliwai' AM/AOS. There are only 2 blooms at this time and it fills the whole room with its pleasant scent in morning and early afternoon.

Oncidium Kaizumic Delight 'Green Stone' is a lovely bright yellow that looks like the sun is shinning on it even on a dull day.

Ladies in yellow skirts! And Miltoniopsis Pearl Ono 'Iliwai' AM/AOS gets my vote too! My miltonia bud blasted this year. Sad

Den 'Nora Tokunaga' has impressed me with it's long lasting blooms. The 4 on mine have been opened over 2 months.

I really like Miltoniopsis Pearl Ono 'Iliwai' and the yellow skirted ones too. So pretty and frilly.

Thanks, Ursula! It has many new growths, too. Guess it likes water! One of the few.....

I love the miltoniopsis but sadly, I lost all of mine to root rot during last year's rainy season.

I don't seem to hang on to them for long either. Spotty leaves and then slow decline....

I wonder if they can be mounted or hung without medium like a vanda?

Somehow I doubt it. Or at least I have never seen anyone growing them like that.

My Encyclia plicata 'Chocolate' is starting to open the first of a bunch of spikes. The blooms are truly Chocolate scented, the scent is very nice in the sun.

edited for name correction.

Lots of spikes ( and some additional shadows) on the Encyclia
