Lost that one this spring! Looks great Ursula! And Encyclia lancifolia is a beauty!
Schoenorchis fragrans. Luckily all the blooms didn't drop in the heat.

Ursula, love the Neofinetia. I don't have any and have seen none for sale around here. I'm sure there is a reason.

Kathy, I think that cym is nice for so late in the season. Do you think it is two lips or a double chin? :>)

Jim, I grow this particular Neofinetia pretty much like Ascocentrums, Darwinaras etc year around, perhaps with a bit more shading now outside. Others do grow it in Florida!

Kathy, the Schoenorchis is very cute!
I have no idea what exactly caused "double chin", perhaps a spike in temps at the wrong time, different light.....

It was spiking in less light so I moved it into higher light to develop. The one I didn't move had very weird flowers and you remember the L. lundii x. So many flowers were mutant in the cold room this year.

Just finished fertilizing and physaning with backpack sprayer. Then I deadheaded the garden. I'm having a small RU tomorrow before my DG subscription expires. It started to rain the last 20 minutes so the tarps are back over the orchids. Probably through Monday. I always feel like they must consider the lack of good light and air like a jail. But it makes a huge difference in how many get lost to rot.

Kathy,
I have my Cacti and some very touchy Stapeliads set up in such a way that I can place a Lucite pane above them in a matter of minutes and it can stay there for some time. I could imagine clear plastic would be just fine too?

Enjoy the RU!
