I forgot to check for a July thread and am sure glad I did. What a bunch of beauties I missed!

Here is one that just arrived in the mail yesterday. It is Paph Druid Spring. One bloom is open and there is a second bud. REally a nice big plant.

Nice Susan. I'll bet you didn't get that from the Royal Orchid Club. I agree with Kathy, Bree; nice and flouncy.

Is the Royal Orchid Club something I should avoid?? Afraid a lot of my orchids, including the one above, come from eBay. So far I've lucked out and not gotten anything I think looks too bad.

Yes, by all means. They have an eBay store and a Web page. Kathy and I have both been burned and if you read customer reviews, we're not alone.

Susan,
This is a blooming size dendrobian that I got from Royal Orchid club, they did send a replacement which was just as lovely as this first one.
I ordered a bunch of other small, buy one get one free plants and they were all fine, but I won't be giving them any more of my business!

Lindsey, compare that awful dendrobium with the big beautiful blooming ones I get in Apopka for $4.00. I ordered a vanda from Royal Orchid Club and paid $27.00 with shipping and all. It arrived loose in a book box and full of fungus. There were almost no roots and it looked malnurished. Here it is, hanging to the left of a recently purchased $10.00 vanda from Apopka. You can still see some of the fungus that just won't go away. Never again.

Jim, the Apopka Vanda looks good and I like the little Oncidium.

Kathy, congrats on your Neofinetias finding their voice! Pretty Epidendrum Wedding Valley 'Sakurak'. Lovey dubby

Nice posts everyone, while we checked up on the Platanthera lacera at our place in Pennsy! ( Not a good year for them, it was probably too hot)

Jim,
I have a son that will (fingers crossed) graduate from Full Sail College in Orlando with his masters this January/February...I guess we'll have
to go a day early and shop till I drop in Apopka, maybe we'll have to bring the truck with the trailer?! Rolling on the floor laughing
