Very nice. I like the evergreen "living wall", too.

What's the plant that's shaped like an umbrella, Janice?

I had to step into a lilac shrub to see 'Nelly Moser'. It seems that she prefers to bloom in between it, and the fence.

Thanks, Chelle.

It is Allium bulgaricum.

Had alot of fun with the bed around the Maple tree.

Last summer planted seed for what you see there and it is all starting to bloom now.
Alot of Rudbeckia seed and misc things will be a surprise to me, as I don't remember what was thrown in.

Hurray! Hurray for dutch iris buds. I just love dutch iris. Some of mine are blooming. I took pictures of them which I will post when I have time.

I am still planting my tomatoes. Did the 18 already that I set up the tomato cages for yesterday. Then I ran out of cages and I still have the six pack of JULIET grape tomatoes to plant. Honestly, didn't feel like spending the money for more tomato cages and besides I want to plant them today. So I looked around in the garage to see what I had that I could use. Found some five foot high trellis structures which are taller than cages anyway. Where I am putting them is up against a wooden fence. So after positioning those trellis in a row that means I only had one side (the front) I needed to enclose. I just used some of the 3 foot high decorative green wire folding fencing that I also had and stuck that in front. Problem solved. Ready to plant tomatoes!

Thumbs up That works!

I let my tomatoes sprawl about last year, and it worked out okay since we had another typically DRY July through mid-September summer. Rain all around, but little falls here...weird.

Seedlings are in the shade today...it's just way too hot and sunny out there.

I got my order from Brushwood today...PERFECT as always! Hurray! Thumbs up Big Grin Those folks really rock!

It is too humid here to let tomatoes sprawl on the ground, the slugs would have a feast and eat them all up. Thumbs down

nodding nodding Green Grin! Green Grin! Tomatoes done! All tomatoes planted. 37 in total. Last year I had 15 in ground and another 3 in planters. So this year they are all in ground except for one patio type tomato. I remember the ones in planters last year were planter type tomatoes also but I was very dissapointed with them. So this year am trying (for the first time) the patio tomato. And I have more than twice as many as last year. Really just didn't have nearly enough last year so that is why so many this year.

My cucumbers are planted also. I only buy one four pack each year but each of those four cell thingies always has multiple plants. This year, three plants in each. I don't take them apart, I just plant each cell and it always works fine. I always have more cucumbers than I know what to do with. But I do love cucumber and tomato salad in the summer. Smiling nodding

I am thinking that I just might buy two HUSKEY RED tomato plants and put them in two big planter pots I have here that I could use for some nice determinate type tomato. We will see.

I still have the last flat of marigolds to plant but I will leave it for tomorrow. I will take some pics to post later.

Very beautiful!

The iris are starting to open here as well. Most of the TB iris are nameless, but they're still beautiful and dependable growers and bloomers.

Veronica, I'm not much for orange flowers, but that iris of yours is very engaging. Very nice patterns of color. Hurray!

Here's my fairly sparse (in comparison) Rhody; at least it blooms now. Big Grin
