Yesterday I received the most beautiful daylilies from Floyd Cove, and one of them is a new Spring 2019 intro: GREENZILLA (love that name!) - Lg DF. The other is GLOBALLY GREEN (lg. TF), and they included a TF of their new 2019 intro KELLY'S STAR as a gift! Karen approved my posting their pictures of these beauties, and so.....

And they're holding off on sending my last two plants, MINT JELLIES and SASSY SAPPHIRE, until they put on a little more growth in the spring.

I love Floyd Cove -- they always send huge, beautiful, fresh fans with terrific root systems -- and needless to say, I'm totally thrilled with these plants!

Okay, so I didn't have to wait until next year to add something new. I picked up this one as a door prize at the club meeting on Tuesday.

Ginny can't wait for the next season of bloom.

I am always looking at cultivars, but I have decided that I have so many seeds and seedlings, that I am just going to start growing out more of those. I've been fortunate and grown some really nice flowering seedlings.

I have also discovered that seedlings seem to do better here in the heat of summer. I don't know if it is because they were grown here from seed or what, but named cultivars tend to go into dormancy or languish or sometimes even perish in the summer. So seedlings are probably going to wind up taking over my garden beds except for those cultivars that are tough and multiply.

My last order for the season from Sterrett's Garden.

I added it this summer too. Had to change the label for the church garden tour
