I tip my hat to you. Thanks ! I don't think Ca. had anything to do with it though. It's a house plant for the duration. It only got to visit it's summer home for the photo shoot, as it was 46 out there this morning.

Kathy, that is a real drama queen, but much larger than your usual choices?

I've had this for years. Someone had one in bloom and gave me one because I liked it. This year I put it in direct sun all summer with the cymbidiums for the first time. Well you see the result! It is one of my biggest plants. I have a few...

A few things are starting to bloom here -
Renanthera Nancy Chandler 'Red Dragon' has a nicely branched spike. Opening these buds takes seemingly forever.

And here is the Prra Motes Leprechaun 'Haiku Mint' . Kathy talked and posted about this plant. I like it very much too, especially since the blooms are fragrant. And it is not a huge plant!

Blc Dennis Kone 'Lakeview' opened a second spike on the mother plant.
I had to climb on a small ladder to be able to take a picture, but the spike opened towards the South/away from me direction, so my picture shows more or less the back of the spike.

Blc Copper Queen is producing spikes all over the plant. The darker blooms had just opened, while the older flowers fade to yellow.

Coelogyne fimbriata is a very cute, small Coelogyne, flowering gently along. (Hmm, the whole plant needs to go into the mini section.)

Great show Ursula!! I love the before and after blooms on Blc Copper Queen! That shot would be great for the database to show the color change.

The Copper Queen could count as a two-fer, which is a good thing. That and that is an easy bloomer.
