I just came in from misting the orchids and the wind is fierce. I was timing the spray to hit those hanging vandas as they came flying by. Two pots were toppled, one of them breaking and sending aliflor across the lanai like marbles. There has been nothing like this during all of hurricane season. Temperature is down to 65 and dropping like a brick. We may see some 40s tonight. Snakes and lizzards are looking for cover.
On the bright side, the first of the winter-blooming catts is open. This is Blc Keowee 'Newberry'.
