I don't know what the Vandas name is only know i swapped it for something with someone on the net in Australia. Others think its a vanda hybrid, maybe crossed with another orchid, a paravanda. It is pretty though.
My paph is Deperle alba im pretty sure. Which is Primulinum x delanatii. My guess is thats ts a multi- floral, producing multiple blooms on a spike that may open all at once. These may be from 2-13 flowers.
Or theres the sequential bloomers which open one flower at a time but as the first wilts the next opens and can bloom for a year.
And of cause the single flowers.

One of my Vanda Sansai Blues is opening - it always takes a couple of weeks for all blooms to be open and matured to full size. These are fairly huge already....

I just came in from misting the orchids and the wind is fierce. I was timing the spray to hit those hanging vandas as they came flying by. Two pots were toppled, one of them breaking and sending aliflor across the lanai like marbles. There has been nothing like this during all of hurricane season. Temperature is down to 65 and dropping like a brick. We may see some 40s tonight. Snakes and lizzards are looking for cover.

On the bright side, the first of the winter-blooming catts is open. This is Blc Keowee 'Newberry'.

So pretty! Would you add it to the database. We also have one from Kevin51 in the database, Blc Keowee 'Mendenhall' for comparison.

I'm an Orchid growing newbie. Here are a couple of my first Dendrobiums, I don't have cultivar names for them. I bought them in bloom and with no label. If anyone has these and has the name, please let me know. Thumb of 2010-11-06/Greenfield/08a5c0

This one is White with a green center and is short, I would say it might be considered a Dedrobium mini, if there is such a thing.Thumb of 2010-11-06/Greenfield/98e215
