Ohh I love the Minerva, looks like it matured a bit since you posted it last. Good looking plant too!!
My Coel Golden Bug is now just about done, but they do bloom for a long time, don't they?
Cute Maiden Charlotte!

I am very happy to finally get it. I just lost a large Henrietta Japhet (white) so I have room for a floofy of colors I prefer. Hope my big Slcs from Roger bloom again in spring!

The Vandas are putting up a nice display right now and I took the tape measure to the Sansai Blues! The spikes on both are now fully matured.
The blooms on my Sansai Blue from Natts ( darker blue) measures 5 inches across, the one on the Acker's Pride ( lighter blue) is 3 inches.

Amazing show Ursula. Love the vanda comparison! I'm pretty sure Roger put in some Chia Lins into our local store. I like to looked at them but then picked George King. Guess they are too floofy for me!

Didn't know that. I always thought people liked big impressive floof the most, like the daylilies that have bubble edges, etc. I thought I was mostly alone in my need for small rupicolous laelias, and historic daylilies, etc.

I like them all- big showy Cattleyas and cute little species and everything in-between. But there are many species-lovers/"species-snobs" which will not be caught dead with any hybrid, floofy or not.

I guess I am a "form" snob. As soon as the form is not in proportion I run to one that shows strong form. I much prefer a spider daylily or a simple species iris to a double. A tall vs. one with a giant flower 20" high. I have trouble seeing anything Asian about a six falls Japanese iris-no form. It's not something I think about and I'm sure we all have our unconscious standards of beauty. I like floofy if the proportions work and the form is clear. Then it will take my breath away.

Thank goodness we don't like the same things or we would have the same collections of orchids to show! So boring!

I agree with Bree. Go big floof!

Great vandas, Ursula. Apart from the ones I've posted, several are in spike.

I agree with Jim and Bree!! the Floofier the better, though I also love simple forms, as well. I like and appreciate them all!

Ursula, seeee? Everyone like floofy! Even me!! They are impressive and an especially good balance to miniatures!!
