Great show, Ursula. Both Potinaras are beautiful, especially the colors on Final Touch 'Mendenhall'.

At long last, Schomburgkia undulata is coming into its own.

That's a nice bloom Jim. I don't think I've ever seen a Schomburgkia before. How big is the whole plant?

Absolutely gorgeous V. Sansai Blue, Bree. I like it aged! Thumbs up
I just looked at my list and I have 2 Final Touch 'Mendenhall'! Guess I really liked it...twice!
Bill, I have 2 Schoms. They are like catts on steroids. Large pseudos, large leaves, long spikes. They like direct summer sun to get them to bloom.
Here's Schom. Wellesley

Bill, I think Kathy nailed it when she said Catts on steriods. They are also noted for producing very long spikes. This one has a spike of nearly six feet. I have another Schomburgkia cross with five foot spikes. Weird but gotta love 'em.

I just happened to remember that I had a picture of the plant in spike on the ground beside me in the front yard. Bill, this will tell you all you need to know.

Todd, is your Paph. venustum from the Orchid Board contest a few years back? I am still waiting for mine to bloom. I'll bet the Nanboh Waltz smells nice.

Ursula, that is a fantastic display. Love the 'Red Jewel' and Potinara Final Touch 'Mendenhall' is a true beauty.

Jim, that is quite an explosion of color from your Schomburgkia, it reminds me of fire works.

Very nice Vanda Bree.

Kathy, I don't do anything special with my Brassias, that just sit intermixed with Catts and other Onc. types. My minimum temp. would be 63 to 65 F.

Thanks for the pic Jim. I'll have to admire those from afar. I don't think it would even fit in my basement, nevermind trying to grow under T5's. Rolling on the floor laughing

Here is another vision. Picture me trying to carry that sucker around the house and into the garage about a half dozen times this winter without breaking the spike.
