Glad you like the Den. PeeWee x!!
Love those Tolumnias, Lindsey!! That's a fabulous shot Jim but with a spike that tall, you'd hafta get the sky as a background!! Sorta like Jack's beanstalk.

I went to an amazing greenhouse of a new friend today. I'll be writing an article about it soon.

Check out my new article about my visit yesterday. http://cubits.org/orchids/arti...

I am so excited about my Epi. stamfordianum ('Belize' x '#1')! I am in love. I've had it for 2-3 years. And what a show it will be! Look at all those buds!

My Catt. intermedia x Lc. Glory has all 3 buds open now. You can tell the sequence by the intensity.

Here is the Vanda Kultana Fragrance from Keith Tibbetts. It is sunburnt but with those roots, I think I can bring it back. It also has a baby on bottom. Here is the photo of the one he brought to the Amherst Orchid Society meeting in December that I fell in love with. This was a gift!

Those are all interesting , Kathy. How big is that epi plant? I'm trying to find the temp. tolerant orchids that can stay outside, and that is a pretty flower.

The plant is about 10" in the pot. But this spike is more like 18".

That would definately be an out door plant for me. I'll have to check it out.

If you watch the Oscars presentations, you may see some fur coats. The high for Sun. is supposed to be 54 degrees in Hollywood! It'll either be fur or goosebumps. Sad

Well today I'm up early, braving snow and sleet, to clerk for the judges at the Amherst Orchid Society Show. When I slide back, I will tell you about it.

It looks like it is your turn for the big chill, Carol. The overnight low here was 67 degrees with a high today of 80. The warm bloomers are on there way.

I cancelled going to my show. We have 4" already and it's not letting up. I haven't seen any snowplows yet. Sposta turn to sleet and icy rain with high winds this afternoon and then more snow tonight. Ah, Florida sounds awfully good right now. I used to go to the Panhandle each year for this week in the olden days. I'm remembering why.

Jim was that a Big Chill joke? (movie, Oscars?)

Kathy, how disappointing!
Luckily it is only pouring buckets here, no snow.
Thumbs up on the Epi. stamfordianum

I hope to go tomorrow AM before the opera to take picks and buy some orchids of course!
I am so excited about the Epi. stamfordianum. I'm also hoping that this means that all the summer tarping is finally allowing all these flowerless plants to come into their own. The ones I've been looking at for years.

I got mine from Kawamoto at a show last year, so this the second bloom for me. I think it is more pink this year than last. I think it has to do with the light, or lack thereof. Just remember these came from Hawaii...

My new Lyonara Memoria Doug Lace 'Rosminah' opened its first bloom today while I was answering phones at the Extension service. I don't know how it compares to that beautiful bloom Ursula hooked me with but this is what she's got. Many more blooms to come.

I'm too young to remember that old movie, Kathy. On the other hand, maybe I'm too old to remember that old movie, Kathy. Hilarious!

Looking good, Jim! I will stay tuned. Smiling

Here is a group picture. Since they are small enough to show them off in the living room, I placed these little Catts over trays. Watering is certainly easier this way.
