Ohh, I always do that. Especially when I do those multiple picture posts. This way I can see if I lined them all up nicely, and if I lost some brackets in the process. I had no idea it actually avoids the hang-up, since it never happened to me.

tarev said:Got this two orchids which were thriving before and then suddenly seemed to decline, not doing anything, so I tried to repot and attempt semi-hydro method.

I find the Antelope dendrobium hated the semi-hydro or maybe I did something wrong, so I just maintained it still in the hydroton rocks and some styro peanuts, but no water under it, and it is now making a comeback.
Thumb of 2011-05-16/tarev/065a9c

This Grammatophyllum Scriptum "Hihimanu", really had a grand decline, from 3 pseudobulbs with leaves, now I am down to this one wrinkled one. But somehow it is responding to the semi-hydro method, and is now showing some sign of growth.
Thumb of 2011-05-16/tarev/a95da6

It somehow shows a good fighting spirit for these orchids. I hope they really do make it!!

Just updating status of my orchids:
The antelope dendrobium on the earlier photo eventually expired...since then the remaining ones has been repotted, trying again semi-hydro, this time, it is responding well. Just had to maintain the water level below the drip line holes..and so far it is creating some leaves:
Thumb of 2011-11-03/tarev/afc5fd

The Grammatophyllum Scriptum which was initially responding to semi-hydro took a downturn, so it was repotted still with hydroton balls but not in water. The remaining pseudobulb has been diminishing and is dying off, but it has managed to send out a good offshoot...hopefully it survives even more, and not succumb to death as the pseudobulb it is attached to. The roots looks okay so far...but this is my last attempt on this one, if it still goes..so be it..

tarev said:My dear hubby helped me out re-pot my mini-cymbidium while I was away for 2.5 months. He was able to make 3 pots. When I returned, I did some catch up watering and fertilizing, and so far it has yielded some promising results.
2 out of 3 has some new growths coming out! The flowers of this mini- cymbidium is the one I have showing on my avatar. So I am hoping it will be a good yield come winter Big Grin

Just an update on my mini-cymbidium noid's..flower spike still growing..I have taken them indoors now, we had some strong winds a few days back, and did not want it to be demolished by falling tree limbs..

Thumb of 2011-11-07/tarev/25d777

I thought this one was a goner, something made a partial meal of its buds Angry , but luckily it seems to be on the mend, and is still continuing its spike..
