Oh me, the cats are showing their beautiful side today aren't they? Wow, they sure are pretty and so shinny and all that hair so very much combed. Dot, they are just wonderful.

For the daylily of the day, Peacock Candy is my choice.

Thanks for sharing. I didn't get any photos today. It came a really hard rain around 5am and then misted until around 8am. After everything dried around noon, I did make a few crosses. I'm curious if they will take. The temps were in the 70's so, they might.

Leslie, yes early morning all the time, but some are edited to make them look more like the flower actually looks. My camera always adds too much red to blue flowers, so I have to edit them to make them look right. Voila Francois was taken in deep shade, I had to lighten it a lot, so the foliage looks dark

I like both of your furry "blooms". My daughter was looking over my shoulder and said that the first one looked like he/she (?) was just waiting for a belly rub.

Your pot garden is a great idea and has the added bonus of letting you rearange to your hearts content, an ever changing look if you so wished.

Thanks Laura, my babies are both males and spoiled rotten. Casper was sleeping in front of the fan, he does that a lot. Shadow loves to be brushed and will roll over on his back to be brushed and scratched.

The pot garden is so much easier to take care of at my age, it is easy to weed that way, and yes I move them around some, but those bigger pots are really heavy. One thing is easy though, if the flowers are blooming toward the back or something, just turn them. One drawback though is, they must be watered at least every other day or lose them in the heat.

It rained last night so I only have a few to post, but the best flower ever on Talladega bloomed last night. It is also the best trade EVER. In 2009 I wanted both Fringy and Talladega but couldn't afford both as they were quite a bit of money. So Ann Bell wanted Talladega the most and I wanted Fringy the most, so the following year we traded them. I now have five scapes on Fringy and six on Talladega. Surely not bad for only having one fan on Fringy after the trade. Ta Daaaaaa!!

Dot

Talladega this morning, just gorgeous, Fringy yesterday (I know I posted it already) but posted again to show what a great trade it was!

My sweet son was so proud of himself, he got me this bouquet for Mothers Day, he is my unfailing garden helper. I said, but I have all these flowers outside and he responded, these are for in the house. (They will last longer than a day too lol)

Dot, Look at your bouquet(sp?) and then look at the last 3 daylilies. They are the same colors!!! So pretty.

I have wanted Talladega since I first saw the picture

Grumbling Grumbling Grumbling Grumbling Grumbling I just deleted everything I had written. I did this last night after I had 10 pictures all lined up and titled all but the last one. I don't know what in the Grumbling Grumbling I'm doing to cause this. I think this time, I hit the enter key twice. I'm going to play around and see if that is what's causing it. I type so fast and move aroundon the keyboard so fast that I don't know what it is I'm doing but I must figure it out. I wasted about 30 minutes last night and got so frustrated that I didn't even try to post the photos. Maybe I can do it today.

Mona,

The next time you are posting pictures, go ahead and post them half way through, this way you can go back and edit the post and add more. Then if you do something stupid, you won't lose the whole post. I did that the other day, was so mad, and had no idea what I did, I think I hit a wrong key. I only type with 2 fingers so if I mess up it takes me forever to retype it.

Hurray!
Love your pictures, Dot. I was told that Fringy had a metallic, glittery edge, but I've never seen it in photos. Does it have edges that glitter in the sun?
