After searching the net till I'm blind, I've decided that Sarcochillus falcata (posted earlier), is NOT falcata. Sent an e-mail to the vendor, but haven't recieved a reply yet.

Hmm. Don't know why Leptotes showed up twice, but doesn't want to go away.

I looked out in the bushes this afternoon and low, Rhyncholaelia digbyana was blooming. What a delight.

Glad you said that since I seem to take that one for granted after the months it's been blooming! I tip my hat to you.

I like that Paph as well. Sure wish I could bloom them.

By the way, I have 9 blooms on the digbyana this year. I'll show a picture of the plant when they are all open.

Working in the yard today. I planted my new rhodie near the bright yellow azalea and my son got half the mowing done when another downpour started. Grumbling

My new Phals today. A new flower opened on the mini Dpts. Yu Pin Burgundy 'YPM5037' AM/AOS . Phal. Sogo Ibis 'Little Maruko' opened it's first bitty flower but the top petal and side sepal are fused so I will give you an imperfect preview.

Ctna. Flying Colors 'Mendenhall' HCC/AOS with both flowers open, noid den, Paph. Supersuk 'Eureka' AM/AOS x Raisen Pie'Hsinying' x sib and 2 noid phals..these were
some of the plants that I got for $1.00 and these are the secondary blooms off the old spike, the plants are putting out massive roots and blooming their heads off! The bud count on these plants that spent a few months in the greenhouse on the floor is more than double the bud count of the plants that wintered in the whirlpool tub in the house.

Lindsey, you are doing great, I would be happy too.

Kathy, I like the nice pattern on your Yu Pin Burgundy, pretty! And the Paph Nike's Sunny Delight is a cutie.

Jim, did you say 9 blooms on your digby, holy smokes!! Thumbs up
I am doing much better with mine since I grow it like a Cactus, still water year around, but it never flowered like that for me. I mounted mine last year on a sturdy Blueberry branch, it is getting nicely established on that. I would be very happy to perhaps look at a couple of blooms soon.....

Carol, better late than never on your Leptotes biolor, it looks really nice! ( mine just dropped the last bloom) And I like the Iwan. Appleblossom x, nice color.

I found another one blooming in the bushes; almost missed it. I'll be so happy to have all of the orchids back on the lanai where I can keep an eye on them. Here is Brassavola tuberculata.

This orchid is from Rio. I would have never spotted it out in the bushes if it wasn't for the samba music Hilarious! . I just went out and sniffed...couldn't detect a smell although I know it is suppose to have one.

Oda. Feuerkugel is a beauty Neal, love the red.

Carol, those are very nice looking Catts.

Jim, I can see how those 2 could hide in the bush.

Very nice Kathy, love those 2 new phals.

Lindsey, you have some fabulous blooms there, the blood red NOID phal is very sharp.

Thanks Jo! We are both up late. I just finished all but a few progress reports. Tomorrow I will sleep, work in the garden trimming dead branches on roses, and visit Marc Gray's greenhouse in VT. Let me know if you'd like to see those laelias in person.
